The Seed of God will never die

We are in a season when Christ is no longer in the Tomb. What happened after Christs resurrection? Christ planted a seed within the disciples and the church that was born out of his death which will never die. In our lives as sent out by Jesus, we have the peace of God. This is purely a gift.

God loves you more than you can imagine. “I will not leave you orphaned, desolate, comfortless,” Jesus tells his disciples in John 14:18 And, borrowing words from the Apostle Paul, nothing – nothing – nothing – nothing can separate you from the love of God: “neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor rulers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Rom. 8:38-39 )

This life-giving grace of God is yours. No matter what. Be at peace. On the other hand, to be sent by Jesus as Jesus was sent by God the Father, means being sent to give of ourselves sacrificially for the sake of others – and that makes life harder, more uncomfortable. Genuinely caring about others adds to life’s struggle.

The risen Jesus is identified by his wounds of love. Jesus comes to us, not only as the risen Lord who has defeated death, but also as the one willing in love to be crucified for us

Youth Ministry

Oasis Youth Motto: “Asiyefunzwa na mamaye, hufunzwa na ulimwengu”

This is an African proverb that states that, if you don’t learn good habits from your mother, the world will teach you about life. Based on this believe, the purpose of Oasis Global United Methodist Mission Youth Fellowship (UMYF) is a student ministry with the same mission, vision, and faith driven journey of our church, with a special emphasis on providing a fun and relevant ministry to students in 6th - 12th grade. Through Bible study, outreach events, and fun activities like sleepover to one family a month where they learn how to grow in support to each other. The youth of our church are given many opportunities for personal and spiritual growth. We provide mentors to each youth, so that they can learn from those that are older different values of life. Diversity, being intercultural, both African and American, respect to self and others, honesty and searching God’s truth is our key. Our parent and youth members work hand in hand for empowerment as they navigate the unknown life a head of them.

Join our Church Family and assimilate your youth, growing in your homes to Oasis youth fellowship where they learn how to be an whole round person in this world.
